Q1. How do I contact you for a specific question?
A: Simply submit the "Contact Us" section completely. This info is not shared. You can also contact the factory 8-5 CDT M-F toll free at 866-476-6337. Or the outlet in Sarasota at 941-953-3468.
Q2. What colors are available?
A: Click on the Color Chart from the Home page. We typically paint the trailer one color, pinstripe in another color. Graphics packages are included on some models, optional on others, but correspond with the color/pinstripe selection chosen by you. Q3. What if I need a trailer not shown on this site? A: You can also go to our home site at www.ponderosatrailers.com to view other models. We specialize in custom built trailers, which, contrary to belief, does not mean expensive or long lead times. Got an idea, or spec sheet? Send it to us. Some competitor's floorplans are not very practical, and if so we will advise. Such as too little horse room, inadequate warmblood height, too much tongue weight, too little axle rating, etc. If you choose to build it, disregarding our advise, we might/might not build it, or may put a warranty disclaimer on the item in question. We want all customers to have what they need, have a safe trailer, and most of all be happy with their purchase. Q4. I am shopping around. Are more photos/specifications available for a specific trailer I am interested in? A: More than likely YES. We have tons of them. We will be happy to e-mail you additional photos, specs or quotes. However, if you are shopping around, we simply ask that you require all bidding parties to provide you with the same. We think you'll see that with our prompt and accurate responses, we are leap years ahead of the competition, and better suited to earn your business. Of course, as with any business, the more your closer to buying a new trailer, the quicker we respond to your request. It's a lot of work and time preparing specs and info on a particular trailer to a customer, who has no intention to purchase in the near future. We can narrow down specifics when you get at a closer point to purchasing. WE WILL HAPPILY ASSIST YOU IN COMPARING ANY BRAND, ANY PRICE, AND ANY FEATURE, APPLES TO APPLES, WITH EQUIVILANT "WRITTEN" PROPOSALS FROM ANY COMPETITOR. If it's hard to obtain from any competitor, then you decide who you want to do business with. We put it in writing!! Q5. What is the ordering process? A: We require a deposit to hold or order a trailer. This is usually by credit or debit card. Deposit amounts depend on the model and milage distance. We accept checks by mail for deposits, or wire transfers as well. Balances are due upon delivery in cash or cashiers check. Balances on credit cards will be charged 5% of balance. Before we process a credit card for deposit, we create a work order showing trailer description, price breakdown, and delivery date. When you sign the order and acceptance agreement and return them to us, we process the card, and release the order. Changes can rarely be made once the order is released into production. Delays in return of these documents or allowed changes, may delay trailer completion. Our office will contact you a day or two before completion to co-ordinate shipment. If trailer is delivered, the balance is paid to our driver, and he/she will provide you with a paid bill of sale, warranty papers, often the MSO. We will call you before shipment, and the driver will stay in contact with you en-route. Sometimes we will send the MSO to you via certified mail. Q6. How long until I receive my order? A: Trailers in stock can often ship within 24 hours. Custom orders normally delivered within 2 weeks year round. Q7. Where will my trailer be delivered if I choose to have it shipped? A: To the physical address you provide. We determine shipping charges by that physical address. Or you can pick up at the lot at 1801 N washington Blvd in Sarasota. Q8. Do you accept trades? A: No. As a manufacturer and wholesaler, who sells new for close to used prices, we have little market for used trailers. To get your best dollar for your used trailer, we recommend selling it outright locally, or on E-bay. However, the owner of the outlet will consider trailers. Call Barry at 941-953-3468. Q9. What is your bottom dollar on the trailer? A: Prices you see advertised are shown as a cash price. We rarely discount below that, as we are operating on a wholesale level. Prices are firmly set and are most competitive. Q10. What options are available? A: There are countless options available on various models. Just ask us, or we will provide a few common options for a particular model when we provide you with a written quote. We often have pictures of these options, if you do not know what it would look like. Q11. What is the weight comparison between your steel trailers and other steel frame/aluminum skin or all aluminum trailers? A: Almost identical. Aluminum trailers having less weight is a myth. Some well built ones can weight more. Aluminum cannot flex without breaking, like steel can, therefore it takes much more frame structure for aluminum to prevent it from flexing. Compare different sizes, construction, etc, and you'll see there isn't /- 10% weight difference. Q12. Where's the closest dealer near me? A: The Arkansas home office services the state of Florida, and ports for international shipments. This enables the public to buy at wholesale prices, often saving 20-40% from purchasing from a retail lot. The wholesale lot is located at 1801 N Washington Blvd in Sarasota.
